Cryotherapy Pen
Mode of action
With the cryotherapy pen, unwanted lesions can be removed in just a few seconds. The pen delivers a precise jet of highly compressed, liquefied nitrous oxide (N2O) and effortlessly removes benign imperfections such as warts, skin spots and lentigines.
Cryo freezes the intercellular fluid of the lesion at -89 ° C and forms ice crystals, which then break open the cell membrane and destroy the cell. In practice, the cryotherapy pen can penetrate up to 1 mm per 5 seconds of use. This makes it an extremely versatile device that treats everything from extremely superficial sunspots to lesions as deep as 5 mm.
The high-precision applicator tips enable very targeted treatment and ensure that only the lesion and not the healthy tissue around it is treated. This helps to significantly reduce the risk of hypopigmentation after treatment and makes the cryotherapy pen safe for all areas of the face and body, including near the eyes.
The cryotherapy pen contains two applicator tips - one for smaller and one for larger target areas (with treatable lesions with a diameter of 3.5 to 7mm). Regardless of the size of the lesion, treatments are quickand effective, and clientsrarely need a repeat visit for a touch up.

Q. What is cryotherapy?A. Cryotherapy is a procedure in which severe cold is used to destroy tissue. The process is called cryonecrosis, tissue destruction during freezing.
-
Q. Is cryosurgery better than other methods to remove skin lesions?A. Cryotherapy does not require anesthesia and has fewer scars than other methods of skin removal with minimal follow-up care. The treatment is quick and can be included in everyday life.
-
Q. How does cryotherapy pen treatment work?A. The applicator stays as close to the skin area as possible and quickly moves to and from it. Depending on the size and depth, it can be from 1 to 30 seconds. After the first freeze cycle, the fabric may thaw for approximately 30 seconds.
-
Q. Is cryotherapy suitable for everyone?A. Yes, but skin type and precautions must be considered before choosing this method. People with high cryoglobulin should be treated with caution.
-
Q. How long does the result last?A. Typically, cryotherapy removes unwanted skin changes permanently. Some formations are more difficult to remove than others. In addition, it is necessary to achieve a result with the least damage to the surrounding skin. In special cases, deep skin damage may require several more aggressive procedures to achieve the desired result.
-
Q. Will there be scars after treatment?A. Usually this does not happen. Darkening or lightening of the skin may occur temporarily. Both usually last several months. A change in pigment occurs more often on dark skin types.
-
Q. How many procedures will I need?A. Most small warts are removed at the same time as the treatment. However, some types and very deep skin lesions are difficult to remove; they may require more than one treatment. In these cases, we recommend up to 3 sessions.
-
Q. Are there any limitations after treatment?A. There are no restrictions, but the place of treatment should be protected from touch and the sun. Swimming and showering are not prohibited.
-
Q. What skin problems can be treated?A. Skin spots, age spots, warts, actinic keratosis, cherry angiomas and other benign formations.
