CO2 Fractional Laser
Mode of action
The fractionated CO2 laser passes through the top layer of skin and penetrates into the dermis underneath to form thousands of tiny, microscopic, vertical light columns that cause thermal changes (approximately 10,000 points on 1 cm²).
These smallest subcutaneous necroses stimulate the healing process, fresh collagen is produced and the treated skin cells are exfoliated to make room for the young skin cells.
This innovative treatment method replaces damaged skin areas, as each treatment zone remains surrounded by healthy tissue, which results in quick healing from a few days to a week in which there is only a slight reddening, swelling and slight scabbing of the skin. The treatment is hardly painful, it is enough to apply ananesthetic cream beforehand. The penetrating wavelengths of the laser treatment bring the healthy skin cells to the surface, reduce wrinkles (for example, around the eyes), "pixel by pixel", point by point.
The advanced fractional CO2 laser therapy laser treats only small areas of the skin at a time (12 - 20%) without damaging the outer protective layer of the skin. In the following months after the laser treatments, new collagen is formed and the skin is smoothed.

Q. What is "Fractional"?A. "Fractional" laser technology is one of the most modern procedures for skin improvement and skin renewal. The "Fractional" is used in the treatment of wrinkles, scars, pigmented lesions, as well as for gentle skin tightening and refinement of the skin, with exceptionally good results. With "Fractional" hundreds of microscopic cylinders are lasered into the skin. Between these deliberately damaged skin areas there is untreated skin, from where a quick healing begins.
Fresh new tissue forms everywhere, which refines the entire complexion. -
Q. What do you need to be prepared for?A. Slight redness, a feeling of warmth, slight swelling or a feeling of tightness may appear on the treated areas for a short time. Such irritations usually disappear within a few hours. The redness can last 3 to 4 days. After the treatment, you can immediately go back to your usual activities. The laser pulses set microscopic sores deep into the skin. However, most of the skin remains unaffected when enlarged. It heals quickly from these untouched areas. Most people recognize the positive changes in the skin texture after just a few days.
To achieve the desired result, several treatments at intervals of 2 to 6 weeks are necessary. During the first 24 hours after treatment, you should not apply makeup to the treated skin areas. -
Q. Which areas can be treated?A. With the "Fractional Laser" all areas of the body can be treated, face, décolleté, arms, hands, stomach, legs etc.
-
Q. What distinguishes the “fractional” treatments from other methods?A. fractional laser treatment renews the skin without affecting the skin surface. Excellent results can be achieved in the long term. Infections practically never occur.
The “fractional” treatments do not require special pre- or post-treatments. A good cleansing of the skin is enough. Thanks to the scanner technology, the treatment time is short, and the skin is treated evenly. -
Q. Are the treatments painful?A. The skin is slightly heated locally by the “fractional” treatment.
-
Q. Are there side effects and risks?A. The safety of the “fractional” treatment has been proven by clinical studies. Side effects are mild redness and swelling lasting 2-5 days (corresponding to a slight sunburn). Risks can practically be excluded. Pigment changes can rarely occur.
-
Q. What does a single treatment cost?A. Depending on the type and form, a different number of treatment sessions is necessary. The costs for a treatment depend on the size of the area to be treated and thus on the number of light pulses required. They are based on the current price list. The same area of skin can be treated again after 7-10 days at the earliest. Longer breaks between the individual treatments are however not harmful.
