CO2 Fractional Laser

Mode of action

The fractionated CO2 laser passes through the top layer of skin and penetrates into the dermis underneath to form thousands of tiny, microscopic, vertical light columns that cause thermal changes (approximately 10,000 points on 1 cm²).

These smallest subcutaneous necroses stimulate the healing process, fresh collagen is produced and the treated skin cells are exfoliated to make room for the young skin cells.

This innovative treatment method replaces damaged skin areas, as each treatment zone remains surrounded by healthy tissue, which results in quick healing from a few days to a week in which there is only a slight reddening, swelling and slight scabbing of the skin. The treatment is hardly painful, it is enough to apply ananesthetic cream beforehand. The penetrating wavelengths of the laser treatment bring the healthy skin cells to the surface, reduce wrinkles (for example, around the eyes), "pixel by pixel", point by point.

The advanced fractional CO2 laser therapy laser treats only small areas of the skin at a time (12 - 20%) without damaging the outer protective layer of the skin. In the following months after the laser treatments, new collagen is formed and the skin is smoothed.
