IPL Quantum

The IPL Quantum by Lumenis is one of the best technologies for permanent hair removal. The success of the permanent hair removal depends on the quality of the laser devices. The IPL Quantum depends to the best devices on the market. The required energy of light is being perfectly adjusted to the skin type to treat the hair and its follicles effectively. The results: minimal energy expenditure for a maximal result! The IPL Quantum works with an adjustable light spectre which allows a successful treatment of almost all skin- and hair types. An integrated and active skin cooling is construed for the long-term work with hair removal.

Another treatment which can be conducted with the IPL Quantum is the skin rejuvenation. The overall appearance of maturing skin is mostly caused by the damaging and cumulative influence of sunbathing.

UV-radiation affects the components of the skin, mostly the water that is being contains in the dermis, elastin and collagen. The skin loses its thickness, firmness and elasticity but there are also certain genetic elements (sensitivity of the blood vessels).

During the treatment redness, hyperpigmentation, large-pored skin, the loss of elasticity and wrinkles are being treated. The IPL-treatments rejuvenates the skin without baring it and gives it a real “rejuvenating cure”. Its impact allows a reshaping of the skin and improves the toning, texture and softness. Every dark spot will fade, the complexion brightens up, the structure of the skin gets better and the wrinkles disappear.

Approximately 5 sessions are required in a span of 10 to 15 days. The results are getting more remarkable with every session.

The IPL-technology

IPL stands for “Intense Pulsed Light” and is another treatment for permanent hair removal and its reduction. With the IPL-technology a comparatively big surface can be treated fast and with a single impulse. In addition to that, the IPL-technology uses the full spectre of a xenon-light source which if being filtered to the perfect wavelength from 380nm to 1400nm. This is the biggest difference to laser hair removal which uses a steady wavelength (for example 810 nm during treatments with the diode laser).

The results of the hair removal depend on the pigmentation of the skin and the hair. For a full result more than 6 treatments are required depending on the body part. The principle of this treatment works just on dark hair (hair with enough melanin). White hair cannot be removed permanently with this method as they lack melanin which could absorb the light.
